Amazing Grace Lutheran Church was formed May 1, 2007 following the unification of Peace Lutheran Church of Inver Grove Heights (current location) and Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church of Mendota Heights.
The unification culminated a process of approximately 12 months of study, planning and prayer in which these two former congregations discovered that their mission to serve Christ in this part of Dakota County would be better served by working together.
We are excited that our unification results in many more resources being available to serve God and our neighbors, both here in Minnesota and around the world. Not only are we blessed with a great staff but also many dedicated leaders who make up our Congregational Council and Ministry Teams. Many of the organizations and initiatives we serve and collaborate with include Neighbors Inc., Camp Wapogasset, ISAIAH, Mobile Meals, and so much more.We have special mission interests in Magulilwa, Tanzania where members have visited and a school is being built because of funds raised through special offerings, donations and fund raisers; as well as the Lutheran Church in Guatemala [Iglesia Luterana Agustin de Guatemala] where members of the congregation have visited and brought much needed supplies to the poor and isolated villagers.
